Joanne and Vincent’s love story is just like an amazing movie, filled with circumstances in which every piece has to be accurate and in order for them to meet. Even though both of them were born and raised here, they FINALLY met with a picture that they took….in the Philipines (!) which led them to meet each other here back at their home in the States.
So this video of Joanne and Vincent talks about celebrating a love that meant they had to travel across the globe just to find it; real love right back where it belongs, in the back drop of our beloved (and classic city) San Francisco & At the Four Season. ( Testimonial )We also considered not hiring a videographer, but after advice from many brides we knew we had to find someone to capture the most important moments. We found Dom through http://Weddingbee.com (my favorite wedding site) and we are so happy that we did. It was hard planning a San Francisco wedding from Los Angeles but Dom has been very accommodating and professional. The best part is that he and his crew do not get in your way on the big day. It is like they are not even there, except they capture every moment! I am not an emotional person, but his work moved me to tears. I encourage you to hire Dom! He is professional! He is nice! He is accountable! actually he is my favorite wedding vendor! -Thanks Dom. You captured our “moment of a lifetime” beautifully.
What good could possibly come out of your car breaking down in the middle of nowhere? Well… let’s just say ” Love”. Shari’s car broke down in an unfamiliar area. Thank goodness that Eddied happened to live in this area. Even though they barely knew each other at the time, Shari decided to call him and ask him to come out and help her. And the rest is the history….
Is yellow is the new white for weddings? I do not know but from my 6 years of experience in wedding videography, I’ve never seen yellow as the main color of a wedding before…
Well… not until this year when I’ve just seen Yellow appear in a couple of weddings. I still think it’s rare and hard to pull this color off (especially if you pick the wrong shade of yellow) but this time, our couple not only pulled it off, I think, it went so well with the whole wedding that it even gave me the sense of a lovely, sentimental, and personal yet very delicate feeling. That’s also how I would describe our bride Shari and her wedding. One of the most sentimental moments in this wedding is at the very beginning of this music video, when Shari puts on her dress and cannot hold back her tears. Another was, toward the end of the video, when Shari performed and surprised her Groom with a Hula dance (Shari’s family come from Hawaii ). For me, This wedding give me such a wonderful and warm feeling. Just like Yellow, Love and the Sun. ( Testimonial ) I’ve watched our wedding dvd over and over again – just like Dom said I would! There is so much detail that each time I notice something new! It’s amazing. Dom and his crew did such a fabulous job capturing all the memories of our wedding. I am so glad that not only did we decide to get a videographer, but going with VDO Production. From the very beginning, Dom made us feel very comfortable and calm – a nice feeling to have when you’re in the middle of planning a wedding! I loved working with Dom because he’s very professional, timely, sweet, and organized. Our wedding video turned out SO WELL – artistic and tasteful. It also meant a lot to me that he included a lot of footage of me and my grandfather. I hadn’t said anything to Dom, but he said that he could tell that my grandfather was an important person to me and got a lot of him on film. I really really appreciated that. Thank you so much Dom (and your assistants) for working with us. We love the finished product and couldn’t be happier.
Pam and Tien’s wedding is “magnificent”, period!! From Pam’s stylish hairpiece (that looks like flower but can also be turned into the wedding veil) to the jaw-dropping setting of both ceremony and reception, everything in this wedding came together beautifully and tastefully. Pam and Tien love Movies, they watch movie together all the time. And in this wedding day, they got a chance to make a movie of their own. There is a saying ” The greatest love story ever told….. is your own”. Well… so here we are, witnessing one of the best and most beautiful love story. The song for their music video ” Say “, also comes from a movie soundtrack – Dom
( Testimonial ) Hiring Dom was the best decision my husband and I ever made!! Initially, we decided not to hire a videographer because most of the wedding videos we saw were so cheesy. We just couldn’t get ourselves to pay so much money for crappy work. Anyway, two months before our wedding, we searched for videographers again because we didn’t want to regret the decision of not getting our wedding day documented.
During our search, there were moments where we almost gave in and wanted to just hire someone who’s work we didn’t even really care for just to get it over with!! Luckily, I found Dom on google! I watched his music videos on Vimeo and totally fell in love with his work! I called and left a message, and within a minute, he called me back! I spoke with him on the phone and liked him already! After my husband and I saw longer versions of Dom’s work during our first meeting, we hired him on the spot! We got the 3 camera package at such an affordable price! On the day of our wedding, Dom and his team arrived early and were very professional! Also, they didn’t get in the way of our wedding photos. During our reception, when all the wedding vendors were scheduled to have their dinner, Dom and his team just kept working! I remember even telling him to stop working and to eat at least! He’s very hardworking!
We received our wedding video as scheduled and I teared when my husband and I first watched our music video! Dom definitely told the story of our wedding day and captured all the special moments. He also catered to all of our requests and made sure those were included in our video. Most importantly, our wedding video was not corny at all!! I have watched it so many times already!
I would highly recommend Dom! Not only are his prices reasonable, you can’t even compare his work to those videographers who charge an arm and a leg for a one camera package and a crappy wedding video. Dom is definitely one of the best in his field, plus he’s such a sweet person!!- Pam & Tien
Christiana and Christopher are native Italian-San Franciscan and this wedding couldn’t more Italian-San Franciscan. The couple started their day by getting ready at the Four Seasons Hotel, then having a big and beautiful ceremony at St. Paul’s Catholic Church – Noe Valley – San Francisco (the same legend church that filmed ” Sister Act”). Then they celebrated their new beginning with a Pretty Pink Party (as Pink is Christiana’s favorite color) at the North Beach.
For me, it’s not only that everything went by so smoothly and beautifully but at the end of the day this event was filled with food and wine, dance and celebration (they really had a great fun live band), tears and laughter of family and friends. It’s a very profound and unforgettable night for them and also for me.
Someone said ” Life is a banquet, and a lot of people are starving to death” Well, Christiana and Christopher enjoyed the banquet, oh.., they probably cooked it !- Dom
( Testimonial ) Speechless. This was both my husband and my reaction when we saw our wedding DVD for the first time. It brought the whole day to life for us again and we were completely swept up in the moment again. We are beyond THRILLED with Dom’s work! Like some of the other reviewers on here, we were skeptical about having a videographer but now realize that going with Dom was definitely one of the BEST decisions we made in the entire course of planning our wedding. Dom and his team are completely professional, punctual and true pros and what they do. In fact, we barely knew Dom was there with us on our wedding day but he captured every moment so beautifully and elegantly. I got more emotional watching our video than I did the entire day of my wedding! We will definitely be recommending Dom to our friends who are getting married (even if they don’t think they want a videographer!) He is always willing to go the extra mile and his work shows! A+!!!!- Christiana
Suyun and Eric celebrated their new beginning spectacularly at the famous Flood Mansion. The reception night was so beautiful and surrounded with their loved ones and most of them came all the way from East coast since the couple attended Yale. This should be the 6th time already that we got the chance to create the music video with the most popular wedding song of the year (hands down!): “Lucky” by Jason Mraz. Yet it’s always the couple to choose the song for their music video so it’s our job to always create something “New” every time, especially since we always try to breath the couple’s sense and style into the use of the song in the video, as much as I can. ( Testimonial ) The Yelp gods sent us Dom, who did an awesome job. Extremely professional and reasonable, he was unobtrusive on the day-of and very, very responsive to our needs. We must have watched his “signature” music video of our wedding about a hundred times!
p.s. We watched the wedding video last night and were so touched — we teared up again. You did an amazing, amazing job and we’re so thankful :) I can’t wait to share this music video with my family and friends. Thanks again-Suyun
This is Mike and Mia’s wedding. This also was my second Greek wedding and I loved every minute of it! It’s a part of their culture to “dance till you drop” and I really mean it so you will see a lot of Greek dances in their wedding along with throwing money to the newly wed (at the end of the night) you will see a lot of money on the floor and they will sweep this money into this big bag to go to the couple’s honeymoon and the new beginning.
In the music video-highlight-of-the-day, I hardly ever put the couple’s wedding vow on video for the couple’s own privacy (I consider the wedding vow a very personal thing – unless the couple wants to share their vow)
However, this time I can’t help but put the bride’s father’s vow on the beginning of the video, not only because it is one of the most touching confessions and a center of this wedding as it looks back and sums up the whole wedding beautifully. It also reminds us that the wedding is very special moment in your life not only because it marks as the new journey in life and love for the couple but also because it’s a very moving experience because you have all of your loved ones, both friends and family, near and far, that come to celebrate and reflect your love and their love to you. It’s precious! ( And… Yes, the couple chose this Greek song for their music video ) – Dom
( Testimonial ) By FAR, the best decision that we made was having Dom as our videographer. Not only was he kind, energetic, polite, and a pure joy to work with, He treated us like family. What makes Dom so great is that he is passionate about his work. He not only captured the precious moments, but some how managed to capture the emotions and energy of out wedding. He puts countless hours into his videos–and boy oh boy does it show. The music video that he gave us for our wedding got over 100 reviews the first day! His work is respected by everyone who watches is.
Dom is one of those rare people who gives you a 100% of his best work—regardless. It doesn’t matter if you go with his most expensive package or the less expensive. High or Low, he treats all of his clients with the same respect and the same equality.
As most of you know going through the wedding process can be a stressful due to all of the decisions one has to make. Dom never once gave me a reason to doubt his abilitiles or his professionalism. He is talented beyond words, and I would highly recommend that you choose him as a videographer. I will recommend him to all of my friends, and anyone who his willing to listen. -Mia
Normally this is where I would share my experience in these wonderful events which we had the privilege and honor to be a part of. They are once in a life time events for the new couples… However my most memorable moment in this wedding is the music video itself. As our bride Nicole picked this song (which happens to be one of my favorite love songs of all time) for her music video: “Someone Like You”. My favorite moment in this music video is when the song goes
….Someone like you
Makes it all worth while
Someone like you
Keeps me satisfied
Someone exactly like you
At the same time as we see Joe look at Nicole on their first dance undeniably sweet and sincere. This is absolutely sweet and I will remember it for the years to come. As the song says, “the best is yet to come”. I like their strong confidence in their journey ahead. For me, in this life nothing could be better than the journey with the person that you have been waiting for all your life, the person that makes you fill complete … no matter what journey will unfold, it’s definitely worthwhile!
( Testimonial ) WE LOVE DOM!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn’t going to hire a videographer for our wedding but a lot of people said I should, what a memory…I began a search on yelp, came across Bay Area VDO and was impressed with his site and the quality of his work. I called, he was so friendly, his prices were perfect so we met. I was so excited after our meeting and immediately booked him. He is very thorough and explains everything, plus he responds quickly to emails/calls. Day of he and his assistant were great. I’ve had so many people tell me they were all over the place and so subtle about it.
As part of the contract he does a “music video” set to your song of choice that you can send out to all guests. It’s a “five minute” compilation of quick highlights and it’s perfection. i.e the timing of words in the song to certain parts of the day (sunlight coming in…). Everyone is going crazy about it, I cried the first two times I watched it. I don’t know of another videographer who does this extra wonderful service, and my gosh is it spectacular. We are so happy with the final outcome, it is a beautiful video, we have a 3+ hour highlight video, all of the raw footage, and the music video. Plus the presentation of the dvd’s is so cute! This is something we’ll treasure since neither of us remember 99% of the day. He captured all of the speeches, the special and funny moments that we can relive. When we met with him to get the dvd’s he showed us bits and pieces and he was literally everywhere I kept telling him “I didn’t realize you were even there…” You will not be disappointed in Bay Area VDO. They are professionals, it’s obvious they love their work, and want to please their clients. I am more than thrilled that we hired this company and will forever have a beautiful memory of our day thanks to Dom…… Without a doubt Bay Area VDO is top notch. From the wonderful customer service and communication, to the prices, to the spectacular final product this company is my favorite. They far exceeded what I wanted and we are thrilled beyond imagination.
Ronny and Melody created a wedding of their own in a very special and unique way. Everything from the little beautiful church hidden behind the hills to the bridal party dresses, from the decorations in the wedding to the wedding cake, its colors, its American urban style, connected to each other in the very sophisticated and subtle ways (you can see from their music video).
For me, Love is something you can’t touch but you can feel it, you can’t see it but it surely can move you, change your life or rock your soul. In this case, it’s been Ronny and Melody’s love that gave me this feeling long after the wedding.
( Testimonial )Dom and his crew were awesome. I was REALLY hesitant about getting a videographer for our wedding at first, but now Im so happy that I did! Not only did he do a great job in terms of service, but he was friendly, very professional, and totally let the photgraphers do their thing while he and his crew kinda hid in the background.
Seriously, half the time, we had nooo idea that he was even THERE! sometimes we’d be just enjoying ourselves during the wedding and randomly we’d look down and there’d be a video guy taping me or my wife, totally hidden, and completely out of our way. That touch actually made for a GREAT finished product. Seriously, we read the reviews on Yelp, decided to go with his company, and called him, checked out his work, and paid him. Since then, we haven’t worried about a thing, an he’s done an AWESOME job! Thanks Dom! Our wedding will be remembered wonderfully cuz of you and your work!!
“I got the feeling… That tonight’s gonna be a good night… That tonight’s gonna be a good, good night…” The sound of this song flew and filled in the air, and just like that, everyone got up on their feet and danced away. This is not the first time (and I am sure that it will not be the last time that I would hear this song at a wedding either) But at this particular wedding of Katai and Gleb, this song served like the symbol of how they want to remember their wedding: Great joy, party and celebration, and nothing less. That’s why they chose this song as their music video. So the result? We created this high energy music video that sums up the wonderful celebration and traditional Jewish wedding. “Mazeltov, Katia and Gleb! ”
( Testimonial ) We were SO happy that we found VDO Production to record our wedding this past March. When we originally started looking, we nearly decided not to have a videographer because we couldn’t find anyone affordable that wasn’t cheezy…until we met Dom that is. Not only is Dom an absolute professional and a dream to work with, he’s friendly, has a good sense of humor and is just an overall kind person.
On our actual wedding day, I barely even noticed that we had videographers there (and neither did any of the guests). We’ve been to weddings where the camera is always in someone’s face – Dom and his team blended in completely.
After the wedding we asked Dom to have our video ready in just over a month since we were doing a mini-reception in another city. Dom worked until the very last second to get this done for us. Not only did the video look great, but Dom constantly kept us updated on the progress and would say things like: “…The video is almost done, but there is one part that I’m only 90% happy with, so I will keep working…” We both loved that he puts the quality of his work above all else.
Having watched the video – we are more than happy. Dom really captured the spirit of the day and truly the video takes us both back. Dom also created a music video that we could show to those that don’t want to watch the whole thing (that would be everyone except immediate family :) – and that turned out fantastic as well.
Again, we can’t say enough great things. Book Bay Area VDO Production immediately!!!
Sometimes love can take you to places and new adventures and that’s what happened with Patty. Patty met Tim almost 5 years ago, love started to bloom but then Tim’s new job made him start moving from one city to another. And Patty came to the big decision in her life to either stay put or go to the new adventures with Tim, and Patty let her love guide her. 5 years later, here we are on Patty and Tim’s wedding celebration and their journey makes their love stronger than ever. So on this day, they not only have all friends and families come together for them, but they also have their friends whom they met along their journey from all around the country (literally) from far east coast, mid west, west cost, even from foreign lands … all came all the way to be a part of this day that marks the couple embarking on their exciting new journey. ( Testimonial )Bay Area VDO Productions was awesome to work with. Dom is really creative and his work is truly phenomenal. I was on the fence about spending the money for a videographer but in the end, I am glad I did and chose Bay area VDO Productions. They are great people to work with.
What sold me on using Bay Area VDO was the music video Dom creates. It is a summary of the wedding and is done beautifully. Besides the music video, we had a video of the entire day.Dom and his crew worked really well with our photographer and coordinator. We never had any issues. Honestly, I did not even notice he was there but that’s what made watching the DVD really awesome. They were able to capture so much more than I could have ever imagined.
We were very lucky to have found Bay Area VDO Productions.
Stephanie and James are very nice but quite couple, they found us online, like our style and hired us from our video work right before their wedding [ So we never get to know or ask them much about their personal story ]
So We didn’t find out about James’ mother who is one of the most famous Florist in Bay Area [ Ikebana & Contemporary Flower Arrangement ] until on their wedding day.
So you can imagine that their wedding would fill with beautiful and unique Flower Arrangement from Ceremony to Reception.
This is also our second time around for us to come back and work at ” Rincon Center, San Francisco” Since the couple preferred to have their video come from the candid short from ceremony, photo shoot w/ photographer and reception so we did just that yet the result still stunning and beautiful. -Dom
( Testimonial ) Dom and his team did a wonderful job on our wedding! Everything was a blur for us that day so we were really happy to find a lot of great moments that we missed in his 2-disc DVD. Four hours is long by industry standards but if you want a comprehensive but still edited account of the day like we did, it’s perfect. As for something short to show friends and family, the 5 minute music video set to our first dance song was really nice. There was over 10 hours of footage and Dom managed to cut and splice together all the best moments. Yep, we look like rockstars and we love it! We got great value for our money and highly recommend Bay Area VDO!
Stephanie and James’ wedding August 29, 2009
The picture of Laura and Jeff, walking down the aisle TOGETHER – HANDS IN HANDS through the sunset lighting on that day ( you can see from the music video ] make my tears ebbs up, esp, later on in the wedding, toasts after toasts as their friends and family got up and talked about Laura and Jeff and their love make my heart full and warm undescribedable – it took them about a decade to get here to this wedding day and their love just grew and blossomed right in front of our eyes.
One of the best speeches in the wedding that I heard also happened in this wedding when Laura ’s father got up and gave the speech he gave the couple ” a Kaleidoscope and tell them ” Look at your marriage like this Kaleidoscope ” Keep cranking up until you find the right pattern! ( for your love ). Well… No matter what Laura and Jeff’s love PATTERN is… , it’s a absolutely Beautiful ” The song for the music video is the music that Laura and Jeff walked down the aisle TOGETHER ” Somebody to Love”. – Dom
( Testimonial ) I can’t say enough how lucky we felt that we had Dom as our videographer – he lives up to his reviews, seriously. The quick reasons for getting Dom, because I could launch into a long story about how great he is and how thankful we feel:
- He’ll capture every single thing (I mean everything, lots of great footage) from your day and make it all look like a piece of art (you can tell he does this for a living because he loves it, and because he’s REALLY good at it)
- He is very professional, sincere, always up for being in touch and responding to any and all questions right away (I’d like to think I wasn’t that bride…but I probably was, he was patient and super prompt in getting back to me about anything and everything I’d ask or want to know or want him to know), and unbelievably sweet.
- You literally won’t even realize he’s at your wedding, in a good way – I was scared that if we got a videographer that the team and cameras would be in our face the whole time, but Dom was the opposite – he got everything and I forgot he was there. I didn’t even notice him until the end of the night when he came to say goodbye.
-He has a lot of experience – leading up to our wedding and the whole day of our wedding I could tell he knows what he’s doing, from start to finish you don’t need to worry about him or check in with him at all the day of, he is on it, really.
- Just go for a consultation appointment and see, he has numerous examples of his work and he’ll patiently (with no pressure) show you your options and what he can do for you.
You’ll want this dvd, trust me. A good friend convinced me that I’d regret not getting a video (I was tight on budget, so was considering just asking friends to take some video on their flip cameras), and I’m so glad she told me to get a videographer. There are things you’ll get from your wedding video that your photographer (and even friends who take their own videos here and there) won’t be able to capture. I feel like I have a hollywood movie version of my wedding, in a great way. Oh!, and you’ll get a “music video” of your wedding (a summary of the best scenes, put to whatever music you pick) that you can email friends and family who couldn’t be there (you can even upload it to facebook, etc.), and we were given dvds for our parents as well (in Blu-ray! So great).
I remember reading these reviews before picking Dom and hoping they were right, hoping I’d get to be on this end now with a beautiful, amazing wedding video…I just feel like I have to let people know all of this, because there are enough things to worry about when planning a wedding and I remember what it felt like to worry and stress and not be sure who was good and reasonable – truly, you can trust the reviews when it comes to him, you won’t regret picking Dom. -Laura
